Get to Know Us
Mo Pho Mi is a family operated Vietnamese restaurant in the heart of Costa Mesa with an emphasis on clean and conscious eating. The name is a play on words-- 'more for me' with each word imparting meaning: Mo (the owner), Phở (our signature dish), and Mi (Vietnamese for 'noodles').
We take pride in relying on the quality of our meat and veggies (not MSG) to create a broth filled with flavor and clarity. We use Prime Grade Black Angus Beef, Kurobuta Pork, and Jidori Organic Chicken.
OUR MEATS
Prime Grade Black Angus Beef represents the highest tier of American beef quality, combining an elite cattle breed with the top USDA quality grade. Black Angus is a breed of cattle known for its natural genetic ability to produce highly marbled meat, resulting in superior tenderness and flavor.
Kurobuta pork, translated as "black pig," is the highly acclaimed "Kobe beef of pork." Originating from purebred English Berkshire pigs and perfected in Japan, it is world-renowned for its rich flavor, supreme tenderness, and fine, web-like marbling.
Jidori chicken is often hailed as the "Kobe beef of poultry". In the United States, it is a premium, trademarked brand of artisanal chicken inspired by elite Japanese free-range standards. What primarily defines US Jidori chicken is its rigorous processing standard. The birds are humanely raised on small California farms, hand-processed daily under USDA inspection in Los Angeles, and delivered to restaurant kitchens within 24 hours of slaughter without ever being frozen. The chickens live a free-range, low-stress life. They are fed a 100% natural, all-vegetarian diet (free from hormones, antibiotics, steroids, or animal by-products)
